Each season the two-week summer Chamber Music Festival features internationally renowned musicians, many of whom are drawn to return to perform with Core Ensemble members Aloysia Friedmann and Jon Kimura Parker. Ms. Friedmann and Mr. Parker also serve as Artistic Director and Artistic Advisor, respectively. OICMF exposes audiences and community members to a broad classical repertoire plus exploratory and world music, to musicians of extraordinary talent, and to compositions from a broad range or periods and styles. Throughout the year OICMF offers opportunities for substantive interaction between artists and community members.

A 100 ton US Coast Guard Master with lots of experience, Peter Fromm lives aboard a wooden sailboat and has been in the San Juan Islands since 1975. Each season the two-week summer Chamber Music Festival features internationally renowned musicians, many of whom are drawn to return to perform with Core Ensemble members Aloysia Friedmann and Jon Kimura Parker. Ms. Friedmann and Mr. Parker also serve as Artistic Director and Artistic Advisor, respectively. OICMF exposes audiences and community members to a broad classical repertoire plus exploratory and world music, to musicians of extraordinary talent, and to compositions from a broad range or periods and styles. Throughout the year OICMF offers opportunities for substantive interaction between artists and community members.

A 100 ton US Coast Guard Master with lots of experience, Peter Fromm lives aboard a wooden sailboat and has been in the San Juan Islands since 1975.
