Cat Video Fest 2026

Curated by CatVideoFest creator and director Will Braden and presented by Oscilloscope Laboratories, the annual event has become a nationwide movie-theater tradition — transforming the solitary experience of watching cat videos online into a communal celebration filled with laughter, cheering and plenty of “awwws.” The 2026 edition opened nationally in August and is once again proving to be a crowd-pleaser, with audience reactions calling it “a hoot,” “the best possible way to spend an evening at the theater,” and simply a great excuse to watch cats on a giant screen.

Expect cats falling off furniture, squeezing themselves into impossible spaces, causing household mayhem, staring down their humans and generally demonstrating why they continue to rule the internet.

But CATVIDEOFEST is more than just silly cat videos. The Sea View Theatre will be donating a portion of ticket proceeds benefiting cats and shelters on Orcas Island.

Funny, wholesome, wonderfully ridiculous and perfect for cat lovers of all ages, CATVIDEOFEST 2026 is proof that some things really are better on the big screen — especially cats.
