Summer Solstice Parade
Do you need more whimsy? Of course you do!
Orcas Island’s Summer Solstice Parade is a vibrant, community-organized celebration of the longest day of the year. A joyful explosion of creativity and island spirit, the parade features homemade, human-powered “floats,” whimsical costumes, music, and dancing, all winding through the streets of Eastsound.
The parade starts at noon with participants gathering on Haven Rd. then winds its way up North Beach to the Village Green. Expect the unexpected, and be ready to join the fun!
