Nestled in the heart of Orcas Island on a historic heritage farm founded in 1915, the Orcas Art Barn is a working artist studio and curated gallery set inside restored hay barn. Founded by painter Inese Westcott, the Art Barn brings together a collective of local artists offering visitors an authentic, place-based art experience rooted in the Pacific Northwest.
The space features a rotating selection of contemporary artwork including large-scale landscape paintings, wood sculpture, metal, stone, ceramics, and fiber art—many inspired by the forests, shoreline, and seasonal rhythms of island life. Visitors have the unique opportunity to experience art where it is created, often meeting artists in process and learning the stories behind the work.
More than a gallery, the Art Barn serves as a creative hub, hosting seasonal exhibitions, artist spotlights, workshops, and intimate gatherings that celebrate art, nature, and community.
The Art Barn will reopen on April 11 and will be open every Saturday thereafter from 11am to 4pm. Visits are also available by appointment for artwork inquiries.
