Constitution, the highest point on the San Juan Islands, there stands a stone observation tower built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1936. The tower offers panoramic views of the surrounding islands, the Cascade Mountains and a variety of Canadian and American cities.
PARK PASSES: The Registration Booth will be closed until May 15, 2013, so visitors can purchase a $10 one-day pass at each of the trailheads and parking lots and the annual Discover Pass can be purchased at the Park Office Wednesday through Saturday between 9 am and 6 pm when staff is available. The membership represents a broad cross-section of islanders with a multitude of gardening interests. Some are recent arrivals to the island eager to learn about the wonderful local gardening opportunities, and some are seasoned gardeners who have been islanders for many years. Some grow beautiful flowers and others raise vegetables or have orchards. Some are most interested in the Club's outstanding lecture series, some look forward to the stunning annual garden tours, and others enjoy the camaraderie of the social hour following meetings.
The Orcas Island Garden Club has a long tradition of involvement in Civic Projects. Currently the Club -
**Maintains the landscaping at Fowler's Corner and the Information Map Pocket Park in memory of Herlwyn Lutz who did this task for many years!
**Furnishes and arranges flowers for some of the Orcas Center events,
**Donates gardening magazine subscriptions to the Orcas Island Public Library,
**Belongs and contributes to the San Juan Preservation Trust, the Chamber of Commerce and the Orcas Center.
The Orcas Island Garden Club also has provided grant money for the following Civic Projects:
**Landscaping for the Historical Museum and Senior Center,
**Weather data recording instruments and child-size garden tools for the Farm to Cafeteria Program,
**Demonstration garden for the Orcas Island Public Library.
Meetings take place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, September through May, in the Madrona Room at the Orcas Center and start at 10:00 AM. Typically our sessions begin with a short business meeting followed by the Program. All attendees are then invited to a hosted social hour with coffee, tea and appetizers.

**Belongs and contributes to the San Juan Preservation Trust, the Chamber of Commerce and the Orcas Center.

We publish park maps, sponsor the annual clean up day, and host the annual fishing derby at Cascade Lake. The Summit Gift Shop is open mid May through September and offers visitor services and souvenirs. Be a Friend of Moran by stopping by after soaking up the view from the tower. All proceeds go back into park projects. Our new Summit Learning Center is now open! Come discover and learn about the creatures who make their home in Moran State Park. See first hand the Rough Skinned Newts that migrate across Mt. Constitution Road and swim in Summit Lake. The Nature Shop is filled with educational materials as well as souvenirs, and you’ll find a wealth of information about KVOS history. This is a stop you’ll not want to miss!

Constitution, the highest point on the San Juan Islands, there stands a stone observation tower built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1936. The tower offers panoramic views of the surrounding islands, the Cascade Mountains and a variety of Canadian and American cities.
PARK PASSES: The Registration Booth will be closed until May 15, 2013, so visitors can purchase a $10 one-day pass at each of the trailheads and parking lots and the annual Discover Pass can be purchased at the Park Office Wednesday through Saturday between 9 am and 6 pm when staff is available. The Discover Pass can also be purchased at Orcas Outfitters in Eastsound.

Orcas Island Garden Club

The membership represents a broad cross-section of islanders with a multitude of gardening interests. Some are recent arrivals to the island eager to learn about the wonderful local gardening opportunities, and some are seasoned gardeners who have been islanders for many years. Some grow beautiful flowers and others raise vegetables or have orchards. Some are most interested in the Club's outstanding lecture series, some look forward to the stunning annual garden tours, and others enjoy the camaraderie of the social hour following meetings.
The Orcas Island Garden Club has a long tradition of involvement in Civic Projects. Currently the Club -
**Maintains the landscaping at Fowler's Corner and the Information Map Pocket Park in memory of Herlwyn Lutz who did this task for many years!
**Furnishes and arranges flowers for some of the Orcas Center events,
**Donates gardening magazine subscriptions to the Orcas Island Public Library,
**Belongs and contributes to the San Juan Preservation Trust, the Chamber of Commerce and the Orcas Center.
The Orcas Island Garden Club also has provided grant money for the following Civic Projects:
**Landscaping for the Historical Museum and Senior Center,
**Weather data recording instruments and child-size garden tools for the Farm to Cafeteria Program,
**Demonstration garden for the Orcas Island Public Library.
Meetings take place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, September through May, in the Madrona Room at the Orcas Center and start at 10:00 AM. Typically our sessions begin with a short business meeting followed by the Program. All attendees are then invited to a hosted social hour with coffee, tea and appetizers.

With only 40 campers, you can choose the program you want: theatrical and artistic, athletic and adventuresome or a combination. Counselors, from France or other Francophone countries will share their culture, food, and history with you. Counselors are at least 18 and have had at least a year of college and are fluent French speakers. Canoe Island enjoys a sunny, mild climate common to the San Juan Islands. Whales, dolphins, seals, and sea birds are frequent sightings on the whale watch cruise each session and bald eagles, great blue herons, sea stars, anemones and river otter make their homes on the island's shores.

Constitution, the highest point on the San Juan Islands, there stands a stone observation tower built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1936. The tower offers panoramic views of the surrounding islands, the Cascade Mountains and a variety of Canadian and American cities.
PARK PASSES: The Registration Booth will be closed until May 15, 2013, so visitors can purchase a $10 one-day pass at each of the trailheads and parking lots and the annual Discover Pass can be purchased at the Park Office Wednesday through Saturday between 9 am and 6 pm when staff is available. The Discover Pass can also be purchased at Orcas Outfitters in Eastsound.
