Description
The Friends of Moran State Park support the efforts of the rangers and staff with their ongoing work of preserving, maintaining and improving this natural resource on Orcas Island. We publish park maps, sponsor the annual clean up day, and host the annual fishing derby at Cascade Lake. The Summit Gift Shop is open mid May through September and offers visitor services and souvenirs. Be a Friend of Moran by stopping by after soaking up the view from the tower. All proceeds go back into park projects. Our new Summit Learning Center is now open! Come discover and learn about the creatures who make their home in Moran State Park. See first hand the Rough Skinned Newts that migrate across Mt. Constitution Road and swim in Summit Lake. The Nature Shop is filled with educational materials as well as souvenirs, and you’ll find a wealth of information about KVOS history. This is a stop you’ll not want to miss!
