Description
Having worked as a 'woodsman' for one of the UK's largest privately owned medieval castle estates with thousands of acres of conifer forests and deciduous woodlands, Stuart Niven moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2008 to surround himself with the unique trees and environment of the region, and to hone his skills as a budding climbing arborist. After several years of working for local and international companies, Stuart decided to create his own unique tree care company in 2015 to provide a 100% carbon neutral, non-polluting, and quiet service to his clients in Seattle, using only hand tools and electric equipment, including the vehicle that tows his trailer, pruning trees only when they need it and focusing on helping his clients understand the importance of looking at the wider environment as well as their tree, when making recommendations for future care and maintenance. "I am happiest when I can tell me clients that their tree does not need any pruning and that it is best to be left alone to do what it knows how to do best," Stuart states, and having moved to Orcas Island recently, he is happy to provide his consulting, pruning, planting and landscape design services with his company PanorArbor, LLC to residents of Orcas and the San Juan Islands.
