Rain Shadow Consulting, established in 2005 specializes in commercial and residential tree care, ecological forestry, and habitat restoration. We have an amazing team of talented people, including two certified arborists. Our specialized equipment includes 2 chippers, a custom tree service truck, an excavator, a stump grinder, and a trove of technical rigging and pruning equipment. We love trees and know how to care for them!
Rain Shadow Consulting received the San Juan Islands “Good Steward Award” in 2012 for our work with restoring Garry Oak woodlands and, in 2018, were the recipient of the “Environmental Excellence Award” by the Orcas Chamber of Commerce.
We also handle timber harvesting permits, produce County and State compliant Forest Management Plans, and regularly conduct forest thinning and fuel reduction projects.
