Where History Comes Alive
The Eastsound Museum is Orcas Island's center for historical, genealogical and archaeological research -- a non-profit organization. Come visit the Museum, where History Comes Alive -- featuring six homestead log cabins originating on Orcas Island filled with exhibits, history and artifacts. The Museum also serves as the repository for island artifacts and family histories, providing valuable genealogical information to students, the community and tourists. The Crow Valley School located at 1668 Crow Valley Road was built in 1888. It is one of the finest examples of an intact one room school house in our state. The school house is listed with the National Register of Historic Places and is open for tours Memorial Day to Labor Day, or prearranged private tours.
