The Chamber

Here to serve.

the Chamber of Commerce

The Orcas Chamber is a member-based organization and Washington non-profit corporation. Currently representing more than 200 members, the Chamber supports local businesses, and those that do business on Orcas, to strengthen our island economy for a healthier and more prosperous community. The Chamber is an independent association with no ties to the off-island state or national chamber or other national business organizations.

By being independent, we can keep Orcas first in everything we do.

mission statement.

The Orcas Chamber is connected to every demographic on the island and dedicated to serving the community by supporting the businesses, artists, tradespeople, service providers, and community organizations we are proud to count among our members.

Our mission is to cultivate a positive economic environment that creates opportunities for local businesses and entrepreneurs to prosper, while enriching the quality of life for every islander.

We are also engaged in conversations of greater consequence to the general well-being of our community and take an active role in building and maintaining relationships with San Juan County and state officials, striving to be a powerful and effective voice on behalf of the island.

the island.

Orcas Island is a place of magic. The island captures the imagination effortlessly, revealing its true nature to all who take the time to notice its emerald forests, shimmering waters, and breathtaking vistas.

The Chamber is committed to protecting the island’s natural beauty and preserving its unique sense of place. We also acknowledge that we live, work, and play in the ancestral home of the Salish Coast tribes and honor their enduring connection to this land.

Board of directors

The Orcas Island Chamber of Commerce is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors, a group of local leaders committed to fostering a thriving business environment.

The board represents a broad spectrum of island enterprises and their collective expertise and deep understanding of the island’s economic landscape ensures that the Chamber’s initiatives and advocacy reflect the varied needs and interests of our membership and the community at large.
